For The Time Being...

1. Waitin' For the North/South
As a student at the University of Georgia , riding the campus buses is a daily endeavor. This song captures the anticipation involved while Waitin' For the North/South bus.

2. September Sun
When my dad heard this piece, he said it reminded him of the feeling associated with the arrival of September. Summer draws to a close with a quiet sadness coupled with hopeful anticipation of cooler days, crisp air and beautiful colors.

3. Fog Over the Bay
I wrote this song while overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and watching the fog sweep over the San Francisco Bay .

4. Quick Jaunt/Cripple Creek/Propwash
Surrounding the traditional fiddle tune Cripple Creek are Quick Jaunt - written during a short beach vacation - and Propwash - inspired by my interest in aviation.

5. Colby's Song
This song is dedicated to Colby, the two-year-old son of my good friends Adam & Melissa. It is one of my favorite songs to play and is mostly comprised of right hand rolls played with a flat pick.

6. Road Trip
This composition recollects the spirit involved in the Road Trip from Seattle to San Francisco... the spirit of uncertainty coupled with pure excitement!

7. Melancholic
I'm not quite sure why I wrote this song, but the name seems suiting... somewhat sad and gloomy.

8. Chip's Song
My friend, Richard 'Chip' Howes, asked me to write a very short piece for use in his wife's theatrical performance of Puss 'n Boots.

9. When I Dream of You
Although originally written with words for my future wife, this instrumental version still captures the essence of the song. In addition to Colby's Song, it is one of my favorite songs to play.

10. Loving Parents
This piece is dedicated to my parents and all that they have done for me. It was the last song that I recorded for this project, and it is definitely my favorite song on this album.
